    Observation. The following was originally found out of compliance on the previous Routine Inspection dated March 19, 2026. Licensing observed a person over the age of 12 years does not have a criminal record check.

Licensing reviewed all staff records: - One staff does not have documentation to support their certificate was verified using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry. - One staff does not have a record of work history. - Two staff have criminal record checks from another organization.

    All indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are suitable for the age and development of the children, safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair. [CCLR Sec. 16(4)]

    Observation. Licensing observed only the covered patio in the outdoor play space is being utilized. In this space, there were several strollers that limited the play space with some placed in front of toys making it inaccessible to children. Upon discussion, the Manager stated children only go to the uncovered area of the outdoor play space when it is sunny. The covered patio does not alone meet the required capacity for the number of children.

    Observation. There is one file that is missing emergency contact in addition to parent. Sign in and out record was not accurate as one child was not signed out on multiple occasions (this was corrected during inspection).

    Upon agreeing to administer medications, a competent employee is available at all times to administer and document administration of the medications. [CCLR Sec. 53(3)]

    Observation. LO observed a child with an life threatening allergy who requires an epi-pen to be administered did not have a request for administration of medication form on file.

    The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

    Observation. In the main activity space, LO observed that the paint on the baseboards and the wooden trim of the chalkboard is chipped and worn.

    For each child requiring extra support, the licensee keeps a current care plan showing the required information. [CCLR Sec. 58(1)(2)]

    Observation. LO observed a child who has a life threatening allergy did not have a care plan on file.

    Criminal record checks have not been obtained. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)(a)]

    Observation. LO observed that criminal record checks on file for staff are not valid and not addressed to the facility. In addition the licensee's criminal record check has expired. Discussion took place with licensee with regards to criminal record checks are to be conducted under the Criminal Records Review Program.
