Observation. Licensing observed a bottle of children's liquid Advil was in reach of and visible to children in care.
Corrective action. Ensure that a child's medication is not accessible to any child.

Observation. Licensing observed that on January 24, 25, and March 13, 2025 there was no record showing daily attendance indicating weather the child is absent, or present. Licensing observed that there was no time indicating - for all children, a time of arrival & departure.
Corrective action. Ensure that a record is kept showing daily attendance indicating weather the child is absent, or present and for all children a time of arrival & departure.

Observation. Licensing observed hazardous products (toilet bowl cleaner) accessible to children under the bathroom sink where children wash their hands and diapering occurs.

- The licensee must not permit a person over the age of 12 to be ordinarily present on the premises of a community care facility while children are present, unless the person is of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for that person.
Observation. Licenisng observed that the criminal record check for two persons that were ordinarily present at the facility were not processed through the criminal records and review program and were obatined from the RCMP.
Corrective action. Ensure a valid Criminal Record check is obatined for any persons ordinarily present.

Observation. Licensing observed that a corrective action plan to mitigate the risk of lead in water was not followed.

Observation. Licensing observed that there was one hand towel available in the bathroom for all children to dry their hands on. Licensee stated she usually offered individual paper towels to each child but she was out of them at this time.

Observation. Licensing observed that a corrective action plan to mitigate the risk of lead in water was not being followed, specifically a record had not been kept for January 22, February 19, February 29, 2024. Licensee stated she practiced flushing the water but did not record on those dates.
Corrective action. Ensure a community care facility operates in a manner that promotes the health, safety and dignity of children in care.
