  • EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

    A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing Officer observed an unlatched drawer, within the reach of children, containing potentially hazardous items including: medicated lotion, charging cords and scissors. The Licensee added a latch to the drawer during the inspection.

    Corrective action. Ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. Licensing conducted an inspection of the outdoor play area and observed 2 rose bushes with sharp thorns within the play area. The concern is that the thorns are accessible to children in care.

    Corrective action. Ensure a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are in care.
