There is a requirement to keep current records for each child identifying personal information. Observation. Licensing Officer found the information on what food/drink was provided to children was not yet posted on the white board. It is a requirement to inform parents on what food and drink were provided to children in care. This was corrected during inspection.

Observation. Licensing observed there was no evidence of early childhood educator's certificates being validated by the licensee through the ECE registry. Ensure early childhood educator's certificates are validated through the ECE registry and evidence placed in their staffing files.

Observation. Licensing observed the licensee cutting the grass while children played outside. Conducting other activities which takes the focus off supervising children, is a risk to children in care. This was corrected during inspection.

Observation. Licensing observed children's files were incomplete missing the following: A date when children stop attending facility and a section where parents can list anyone not permitted access to the child. Ensure these sections are listed on the children's registration form as required.

Observation. Licensing observed the following items accessible to children, which are hazardous to children in care. -Dishwasher cleaning pods -Diaper cream -Access to the furnace room with open cat litter bag -Few outlets were not covered -Power tool drill on the counter

Observation. Licensing observed some staffing files were missing required documents such as immunization status and valid Criminal Record Check from the Criminal Records Review Program which is addressed to the facility or corporation.

Observation. Ensure the facility is practicing fire drills and maintaining records of the drill.

Observation. Licensing reviewed child files and there were no pictures of the children which included identifying personal information such as height, weight, hair and eye colour. Educated licensee on developing a log for outdoor play space inspections, maintenance and repairs. Licensing reviewed daily attendance, care plans and reportable incidents. Educated licensee on developing a log of minor accidents, illnesses and unexpected events.
