  Observation. Current facility license was not displayed.

• PHYSICAL, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHING / EnvironmentNon-critical

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. Sharp wooden corner of cubbies not covered with safety guard. Cubbies are in main play area of facility.

  Licensing is notified within 24 hours after a child is involved in, or may have been involved in, a reportable incident described in Schedule H or has a reportable communicable disease. [CCLR Sec.55(2)(a)(b)]

  Observation. Licensing reviewed communication log for facility. Reportable incidents were recorded but not reported to Licensing. Licensing spoke to staff who were unaware of which incidents are reportable as listed in Schedule H of the Child Care Licensing Regulations.

  All records referred to in CCLR sections 56 to 58 are kept in a single place at the facility. [CCLR Sec. 59(a)]

  Observation. Licensing requested a full review of staff files during the inspection. Files are not kept at facility.

  All records other than those referred to in CCLR sections 56 to 58 are kept in a place from which they can be retrieved within a reasonable time, on request. [CCLR Sec. 59(b)]

  Observation. Licensing requested a full review of staff files during the inspection and again by email on July 23 and August 5. To date (August 12, 2025), The Licensee has failed to respond or provide the required records. Manager of facility requested records from the Licensee on July 23.

  The licensee is able to produce records on demand to Licensing. [CCLR Sec. 59(c)]

  Observation. Licensing requested a full review of staff files during the inspection and again by email on July 23 and August 5. To date (August 12, 2025), The Licensee has failed to respond or provide the required records.
