A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation. Upon inspection of the 72 hour emergency supplies, some food and the case of water were expired.
Corrective action. Please ensure emergency food and water is not past due.

- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that the community care facility and the furniture, equipment and fixtures within it are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
Observation. Upon inspection, licensing officer observed holes in the wall and gyprock is exposed on the frame of the closet in the nap room.
Corrective action. Please ensure that furniture, equipment and fixtures within the community care facility are clean and in good repair while children are in attendance.
11020 - CCLR s.13(2) - POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
A licensee must have all of the following: (b) an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation. Upon inspection, licensing officer observed there was not an evacuation plan that included the location and plan for how and where children and equipment will be transported. Licensing officer also observed that there was insufficient food and supplies to care for children in the case of an emergency.
Corrective action. Please ensure there is an emergency plan created that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from an emergency. Licensing officer recommends having enough food and supplies to care for children and staff for 72 hours in the case of an emergency.

Observation. Upon inspection, manager was not aware that she needed a staff file and there was not one on site.
Corrective action. Please ensure that all staff have character references on file.
