    Observation. Upon inspection, the Manager explained that the water in the emergency supplies had recently expired.

    Corrective action. The Manager will replace all the water bottles in the emergency supplies.

    Observation. Licensing reviewed 4 staff files and 1 file had no evidence of a valid criminal record check. The manager stated that the staff has sent her a copy of their updated CRC could not produce it during inspection.

    Corrective action. Please ensure staff files contain a valid criminal record check.

    Observation. A review of 4 children's files revealed that one file was missing a photograph or digital image of the child

    Corrective action. Ensure children's files are complete

    The licensee must not permit a person over the age of 12 to be ordinarily present on the premises of a community care facility while children are present, unless the person is of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for that person.

    Observation. A review of staff files found that 3 out of 5 employees did not have a valid criminal record check through the criminal records review program. 2 files did contain a criminal record check issued by the RCMP. It was found that volunteer files and instructors who attend the facility also require current criminal record checks issued through the criminal records review program.

    Corrective action. A health and safety plan will need to be submitted by the facility outlining the proposed plan in place until Criminal Record Reviews can be issued through the review program.
