Observation. Licensing observed that one play cube in the outdoor play space was installed on hard ground surfacing.
Corrective action. Ensure that equipment is not installed over hard surfaces.
3000 - SPS DOLSOP (Hard surfaces) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a valid certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the licensee using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry
Observation. Licensing observed that one staff file was missing an ECEA verification and one staff file contained an expired ECE verification certificate. This violation was corrected on site.

Observation. Licensing observed one out of 10 children's files was missing the phone number for their medical practitioner. This violation was corrected on site.
Corrective action. Ensure that all childrens files contain a record showing the information of a medical practitioner.
