- A licensee must display a copy of the fire drill system in a prominent place in the community care facility.
Observation. Licensing observed that no copy of the fire drill system was displayed. While on site the Licensee drew up the upstairs fire drill system and posted in on the wall.
Corrective action. Ensure that a copy of the fire drill system is displayed.
3020 - CCLR 22(3) - The licensee must develop the care plan in consultation,with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Observation. Licensing reviewed children's files. Licensee identified two children in care who require additional support did not have care plans in place.
Corrective action. Ensure to develop a care plan in consultation with a parent and any person requested.
3070 - CCLR 58(2)(a) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure
Observation. Licensing observed no record of attendance for children in care. Last recorded dates observed were July 29 and 30, 2024.
Corrective action. Ensure to keep a record for each child showing time of arrival and departure.
3070 - CCLR 57(2)(c) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a)name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number (MSP number does not apply to REC only) and immunization status.
Observation. Licensing reviewed four of four children's files. Four were missing the sex of the child. While on site the sex/gender was added to each registration form.
Corrective action. Ensure to keep a record for each chid showing sex of child.
3070 - CCLR 57(2)(a) - Thorough daily, monthly and annual inspections, as well as maintenance and repairs of the outdoor play area are performed and recorded
Observation. Licensing observed outdoor checks had not been recorded through August and September 2024. Licensee stated the daily checks of the play space had been done but not recorded.
Corrective action. Ensure daily, monthly and annual inspections are conducted and recorded.
3000 - SPS DOLSOP (Inspected) - A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (f) a log of minor accidents, illnesses and unexpected events involving children, that did not require medical attention and were not reportable incidents described in Schedule H.
Observation. Licensing observed no daily log book being used for non reportable incidents. While on site Licensee found a book that will be used going forward.
Corrective action. Ensure to keep a record of: log of minor accidents/illnesses involving children in care.
