A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (b) the courses of action recommended by health care professionals to address the needs of the child requiring extra support.
Observation. A care plan does not include the course of action recommended to appropriately guide staff in caring for a child requiring additional support. This was further discussed with staff and manager.
Corrective action. Staff will connect with the family to seek the required information and amend the care plan information for accuracy.

- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. A walk through of all the classrooms took place today, and it was noted that one classroom contains a large grey storage shelving unit that is not secured, and could cause harm is if fell to the floor.
Corrective action. Please ensure all cabinetry over 3 feet in height is secured in order to prevent injury in the event of an earthquake
11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
Observation. Tested water in washroom designated for Before/After school children, and today the temperature was reading 54.2 degrees Celsius.
Corrective action. Please reduce temperature of hot water to ensure that it does not exceed 49 degrees Celsius

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation. Audit of sign in/out sheets in a variety of classrooms displayed many blanks for a number of children; making it difficult to determine whether the children were in attendance or not
Corrective action. Please ensure all information is indicated, which includes time in, time out or absence.
