  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. Licensing observed the following; - Indoor temperature reads 16.8 degrees with a digital thermometer. Manager said that heating is put on the night before to warm the space, but not at weekends. Today is Monday. - The upper deck in the play space is accessible to children - it contains a BBQ and other items belonging to the residential tenants.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that the space is safe for children at all times. Licensee contact said that heating will be on to keep the space warm with a space heater. Please provide a corrective action plan to Licensing

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees. Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Licensing observed a space heater that was turned on located in the children's play space, accessible to the children. It was very hot to the touch. Staff removed it after discussion to ensure a safe space.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that only appropriate heating methods are in place and are not accessible to children.

• LICENSING

  A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.

  Observation. In discussion with staff and Licensee contact, the manager is no longer employed at the facility and a new manager has yet to be appointed.

  Corrective action. Licensee contact will update Licensing with a new manager request.
