A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene.

Observation. Licensing observed a diaper change and noted that the child's hands were not washed afterwards and the diaper change mat was not sanitized. Diaper procedures are posted for staff review.

Corrective action. Please ensure staff are appropriately orientated in facility procedures

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

Observation. Licensing reviewed attendance on the Bright Wheel App but was unable to review records where children transition into other programs. Records must be accurate for emergency purposes.

Corrective action. Please ensure that all information placed on the App is accessible for reporting purposes.

A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (a) the diagnoses relevant to the child's requirement for extra support, as made by health care professionals.

Observation. No care plan available for a child requiring extra support. Further discussed with the manager.

Corrective action. Please ensure a care plan is created in consultation with the parent/s to ensure the child receives appropriate support

Observation. Staff was observed using inappropriate guidance techniques during nap time
