  • EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

Observation. In the outdoor play space: - gate between the playground and the front of the property and street is not latching properly and was unlatched. The door to the daycare was open; posing a risk of accessing the street if a child were to go outside. - door to the storage shed containing a container of oil and a container of windshield washer fluid was not latched to ensure that children do not have access - a panel on the wooden fence enclosing the playground is not in place

Corrective action. The Manager will fix the latch to ensure that the gate is always closed and will add a lock to the shed. The fence panel will be repaired.
