• RECORDS AND REPORTING / Records For Each ChildNon-critical

  A record for each child containing a photograph or digital image of the child, and other information that can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(i)]; A record for each child containing any illness, allergy or medical disability disclosed to the licensee by the child or his or her parent or medical practitioner is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(e)]; A record for each child containing the name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number and immunization status is not kept. [CCLR Sec. 57(2)(a)]

  Observation. All children must have a photo attached preferably to the emergency medical consent form All children must have Immunization status on file/or parents confirmation If the parent notes a food allergy the caregiver must confirm if emergency medication is required and what is the procedure if accidentally exposed.

  The licensee has written parental consent to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of accident or illness, in cases where the parent cannot immediately be reached. [CCLR Sec. 57(3)(a)]

  Observation. All children must have an Emergency Consent form completed with photo and kept in first aid kit for all moves away from the indoors.

• STAFFING / Emergency Training and EquipmentNon-critical

  Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]

  Observation. The caregiver did not understand the requirement to conduct a fire drill each month. This has now been clarified. As well at least 1 earthquake/emergency drill should be conducted and recorded once per year.
