Observation. Licensing observed the following items: cleaning products accessible to children in the bathroom for the Group Child Care (Under 36 Months) programs; large toys with wheels stored outside on top of the shed that could fall off and injure a child and the gate not secured while children playing on the 11th floor outdoor play area. Licensing observed a staff run over to ensure a child did not leave the outdoor play area when the wind blew the gate open.
Corrective action. Ensure children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to their health or safety.
3000 - CCLR 17 - The licensee must review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Observation. Licensing audited seven care plans, three of which had not been reviewed since 2022 and 2023.
Corrective action. Ensure care plans are reviewed at least once a year with the parent and any person requested by the parent.
