Observation. The licensee has a 'no talking rule' at the meal table. It was observed many times that children were reminded not to talk while eating lunch. When asked about this practice the Licensee inform CCFL that she was concerned that the children would choke on their food if they talked.

Furniture or equipment for sleeping is used by only one child at a time, is clean and comfortable, and is appropriate for the size, age and development of the children intended to use it. [CCLR Sec. 15(2)]
Observation. The licensee is using a playpen for napping in a separate nap room that clearly states on the equipment that it's to be used for playing and a child should never be left unsupervised in it. It also states that pillows and bedding should not be put in the playpen as there is a risk of suffocation with these items as well as with the mattress.
