  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. Both faucets in one of the program washrooms are not working. The children are temporarily using the diapering sink with staff assistance.

  Monthly detailed inspections of the play space have not been conducted, including a check of the landscaping and fencing and overall condition of equipment to ensure that they do not pose any hazards to children. ; Check lists that help to ensure checks and inspections are performed regularly and that proper maintenace and repair are completed are not available for staff.

  Observation. There are no internal inspections documented.

  Observation. There have been some late reports of incidents.

  Observation. Not all children's files were complete with the required information.

  Observation. The manager conducts a morning scan prior to children using the space but is isn't documented and a monthly internal inspection is not completed.

  All persons over the age of 12 that are ordinarily present on the premises while children are present are of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for each person. [CCLR Sec 20]

  Observation. The SCDSW in the program from another agency has an expired CRC in her file.

  The licensee keeps a current record for each child showing the information required. [CCLR Sec. 57]

  Observation. Where parents have indicated 'immunization records att'd' on the checklist, ensure that they are actiually att'd. Some were not.

  The emergency plan is not practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(c)] ; Fire drills are not practiced at least once each month. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)]

  Observation. The last documented fire drills were in March in one program and April in the other.
