    Observation. Observation: A sample of children files were reviewed - 2 children requiring extra support didn't have a care plan on site.

    The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

    Observation. *Licensing observed that one of the crib mattress covers was stained. Licensee stated she would replace this cover. *Licensing observed that the diaper change mat had tears along the edges making this difficult to clean. *Licensing also had a conversation regarding a couch in the nap room as it has a large tear on the top corner, the couch is currently covered with a bed sheet, Licensing reminded the Licensee that this must be washed regularly.

    Observation. Licensing observed loose cords in the nap room. Licensee stated that they are normally wound up and would do so again.

    Observation. Licensing observed that the locking mechanism on the gate at the back of the outdoor play space is broken. Licensing observed that this gate is now easy to open and it leads directly to the alley.

    Observation. Licensing observed the sand depth to be low in the outdoor sandbox and expose the bottom landscape. This could be a risk of injury as children attempt shoveling. The outdoor environment was observed with signs of wear and tear. A conversation occurred with the Licensee to monitor for uneven ground surface and potential hazards.
