  Observation. There were two children requiring medication. It appeared as though medication had expired. Several inhalers present did not have a pharmaceutical tag attached.

  For each child requiring extra support, the care plan does not show the courses of action recommended by health care professionals to address the needs of the child requiring extra support.   Observation. Two children requiring on going access to medication, did not have a care plan.

  Observation. Immunization status not recorded.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the licensee using a system established and maintained by the director of the early childhood educator registry [CCLR Sec. 19(4)(a)]

  Observation. Licensee had not validated the staff certificate

  Fire drills are not practiced at least once each month. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)]

  Observation. Licensing noted the facility had documented monthly drills, however, fire drills were not practiced each month. When an emergency drill was practiced in a month, the fire drill was not.
