  Observation. There were several tubs of diaper cream that have medicinal content yet there were no signed authorization to administer forms present.

  There is an established program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene. [CCLR Sec. 46(1)]

  Observation. There were towels hanging in the washroom. Each child had their own cloth towel for hand drying but the same towel was used throughout the day.

  A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].

  Observation. There are several sets of bi-fold doors, there are restrictors present but not effective as the pinching hazard exists as the doors will still open slightly, There is a small couch without a cover. Some of the foam tiles in the main play area are showing signs of wear thus preventing adequate cleaning and sanitizing. The back yard sand box was not covered. Household garbage bins stored in children's play space. The front gate that opens onto Mountain Highway does not close / latch. There does not appear to be any shade nor rain cover in the outdoor play space.

  The licensee has written, parental consent to release a child to someone other than the parent. [CCLR Sec. 57(3)(b)]

  Observation. Several children were missing a listed alternate authorized pick-up person.

  The licensee keeps current records of each employee as required under Sec. 19(1). [CCLR Sec.56(b)]

  Observation. Staff certificates were not validated.

  There is evidence of employees' continued compliance with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs. [CCLR Sec 21(1)]

  Observation. Evidence of immunization for all staff not present.
