• A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a)name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number (MSP number does not apply to REC only) and immunization status.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed 5 of 24 children's files. One file was missing immunization status.

  Corrective action. Ensure to keep a record for each child showing record of immunization status.

• The licensee must develop the care plan in consultation,with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed children's files. Two children in care who require additional care did not have care plans in place.

  Corrective action. Ensure to develop a care plan in consultation with the parent.

• A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: copies of any diplomas, certificates or other evidence of the person’s training and skills

  Observation. Licensing reviewed 8 of 8 staff files. Three were missing copies of training or diplomas showing Responsible Adult certifications.

  Corrective action. Ensure not to employ a person without first obtaining record of certificates or evidence of training.
