Observation. Licensing observed that daily outdoor inspections for May 2023 were not documented. Licensee stated that daily outdoor inspections for May 2023 were conducted but were not documented.
Corrective action. Ensure that a log is kept of all inspections.
3070 - SPS DOLSOP (Log Kept) - A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
Observation. Licensing tested two sinks where children access hot water and the temperature was 56° Celsius in the upstairs bathroom, and 59° Celsius in the downstairs bathroom. This represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care and must be corrected immediately. Licensee stated that they will assist all children with hand washing moving forward. Full compliance will not be achieved until the plan has been implemented and completed.
Corrective action. Ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49 degrees Celsius.
3000 - CCLR 47 - A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment]
Observation. Licensing observed that fire drill for April 2023 was not documented. Licensee stated that a fire drill for April 2023 was conducted and they forgot to document it.
Corrective action. Ensure that there is a record showing the monthly implementation of the fire drill system.
