• Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.

  Observation. Licensing observed that the Group Child Care Under 36 months program had one ECE and two ECEAs. ECE was acting as an ITE due to staff medical leave. No additional ECE present. ITE arrived on site within 5 minutes.

  Corrective action. Ensure that the ratio of employee's to children is no less than permitted in Schedule E.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed 25 staff files, 3 files were missing character references.

  Corrective action. Ensure every person employed in a community care facility has character references obtained.

  Observation. Licensing audited 10 children's files, one file was missing a record of immunization.

  Corrective action. Ensure a record is kept for each child of immunization status.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed 25 staff files, 5 Responsible Adult files were missing diplomas, certificates or evidence of a persons training and skills.

  Corrective action. Ensure all staff files have diplomas, certificates or evidence of a persons training and skills.
