  Observation. One employee record does not contain criminal record check results. Criminal record checks are required by legislation as part of providing a safe environment for children. Ensure that all records are obtained and on site prior to an employee working at the facility. Provide a response to Licensing with evidence of compliance by April 14, 2026.

  Observation. Some educator and assistant certificates were not validated. This was corrected during the inspection. There was no confirmation that a staff member had completed a course or combination of courses of at least 20 hours duration in child development, guidance, health and safety or nutrition.

  Observation. Some educator and assistant certificates were not displayed.

  Observation. The time and dosage of medication given has not been recorded.

  Observation. A selection of child records were reviewed, some information such as possible allergies, custody arrangements were no longer current. Several children have medical needs that require ongoing monitoring of their health. No care plans have been developed for these children. Other children received supported care, however, their care plans have not been updated in the last 12 months. One staff member working at the facility did not have an employee file available to be reviewed.

  Observation. Lead in drinking water results have not been provided for this facility.

  Observation. Radon results have not been provided for this facility.

  Observation. A child with a medical condition that requires ongoing monitoring does not have a care plan.

• C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

  Observation. There are nails and screws sticking out of the wall in the infant/toddler outdoor play space. The black plastic in the infant/toddler play space is semi exposed and poses a tripping hazard to young children. There are electrical/phone/wifi cables accessible to children in the Multi-Age room.

  Observation. Licensing conducted a random review of child registration files and found some information missing.

  Observation. The diaper mat is no longer in good repair. There is a tear on the mat making it difficult to sanitize.
