  There is an established program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene. [CCLR Sec. 46(1)]

  Observation. Children have been absent with GI symptoms and it was noted that children's bedding was not stored separately and bedding was contacting other bedding.

  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  Observation. There is pipe sticking up in the entry where the cubbies are located causing a tripping hazard.

  Play materials and/or equipment are not suitable for the age and development of the children. [CCLR Sec. 16(4)(a)]

  Observation. There were toys with pieces too small for the age of the children which could present a choking hazard. Items noted but limited to were, cylinder wood blocks, small plastic animals and magnetic fish.

  Licensing is notified within 24 hours after a child is involved in, or may have been involved in, a reportable incident described in Schedule H or has a reportable communicable disease. [CCLR Sec.55(2)(a)(b)]

  Observation. Unreported possible GI outbreak was discussed during inspection.

  The emergency plan is not practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(c)]

  Observation. There are documented fire drills but no documented emergency plan.

  A healthy and safe environment is provided at all times [CCLR Sec. 13(1)].

  Observation. Children's milk is kept in the refrigerator but there is no thermometer in the fridge.
