  Observation. Licensing observed that there were sanitizing solution spray bottles accessible to children. Licensing also observed an unlocked staff washroom containing bottles of bleach and other chemicals accessible to children.

  Observation. Licensing observed that there has been no emergency drills conducted or documented in the past year.

  Observation. Although inspections are conducted, they are not being documented in a log.

  Evidence of compliance with the Province's immunization and tuberculosis control programs has not been obtained. [CCLR Sec.19(1)(b)]; Criminal record checks have not been obtained. [CCLR Sec. 19(1)(a)]

  Observation. One staff does not have a criminal record check processed through the ministry of Justice. The licensee has sent the forms in for processing. Immunization status is not on file for all staff Please remember to document reference checks (for example, keep some notes about conversations with references)

  Observation. This continues to be an area of non compliance, as the criminal record checks for employees are copies from other employers and/or schools The facility name has been changed and the manager is in the process of getting registered to receive criminal record checks for employees with the name of the facility and licensee.

  Observation. Licensing reviewed the Licensee's policies and procedures. Licensing instructed that the policies are to be incorporated in a document that is provided to the parents when they enrol their child in the program. Licensing has provided a document to support the Licensee in developing the handbook for parents.

  All persons over the age of 12 that are ordinarily present on the premises while children are present are of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for each person. [CCLR Sec 20]

  Observation. The Licensee is amending her licences and will require the CRC to be updated. The current CRCs on file for the staff do not meet Licensing requirements.
