  Observation. Licensing observed that one staff member had no evidence of work history.

  3010 - CCLR 19(1)(c)
• A licensee must keep (a) in the case of employees, all records required under section 19 (1) [character and skill requirements] for the entire time that the subject of the records is an employee of the community care facility,

  Observation. Licensing observed that a staff member had no staff file on site.

  Corrective action. Ensure that staff file is obtained, with all requirements for a staff file, for the entirety of employment.

• A licensee must ensure that children have at all times immediate access to an employee who holds a valid first aid and CPR certificate, provided on completion of a course that meets the requirements of Schedule C,

  Observation. Licensing reviewed four staff files. One file had an expired First Aid Certificate.

  Corrective action. Ensure children have at all times, immediate access to an employee who holds a valid first aid & CPR certificate.

  3010 - CCLR 23(1)(a)
• The licensee must review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

  Observation. Licensing observed three children's files with care plans which hadn't been reviewed and signed off by a parent in the past year.

  Corrective action. Ensure care plans are reviewed at least once a year with parent & any person requested by parent.

  3070 - CCLR 58(2)(b)
• A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information:(i) a photograph or digital image of the child, and other information that can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency

  Observation. Licensing reviewed 7 of 30 children's files. 3 files were missing photos.

  Corrective action. Ensure to keep for each child, a photo or digital image that can be used to readily identify a child in an emergency.

  3070 - CCLR 57(2)(i)
• Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.

  Observation. Licensing observed 16 children, including Kindergarten's and grade 1's with one Responsible Adults from 2:20-2:45 pm.

  Corrective action. Ensure ratio of employees to children is no less than permitted in Schedule E.
