  Corrective action. Please ensure that valid CRC is available for anyone over the age of 12 who are ordinarily present on the premise.

  Observation. The Manager stated that an emergency drill was completed within the last year but was not recorded.

  Corrective action. Ensure that a record of emergency drill is kept.

  Observation. 1 employee had a criminal record check that was addressed to another facility. It was discussed with the Manager that the criminal record check will need to be shared through the Criminal Record Review Program sharing form to be addressed to the facility.

  Corrective action. Ensure that each employee has a criminal record check addressed to the facility.

  Observation. On review of children's emergency medication, Licensing observed that one medication was expired.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that any medication required for a life threatening illness is current and safe for use.

  Observation. On review of emergency evacuation records, Licensing observed that the evacuation drill had not been practiced since Januuary 2018 for both programs. Licensing does note that all fire drills have been conducted and recorded on a monthly basis.

  Corrective action. Please ensure an annual evacuation drill is completed

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

  Observation. On review of attendance records, Licensing observed that today only 12 children were signed in but 13 children were in attendance. On review of past records, there were several missing departure times for children in the Preschool program. This program has 2 'end' times.

  The licensee must (b) review the care plan at least once each year with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.

  Observation. On review of a random selection of 7 children's care plans, Licensing observed that 3 were in need of annual review. This is required to current and accurate information is available to staff to safely care for the child.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that all children's records are complete.

  A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (b) character references in respect of the person.

  Observation. On review of the Manager file, Licensing observed only 2 references to be available. Schedule B requires that a Manager has 3 character references on file.

  Corrective action. Please ensure that the Manager meets the requirements.

  Observation. On review of 5 staff files, Licensing observed that one staff had recently renewed their ECE certification but the validation on file was for the expired certificate. Licensing also observed that the expired certificate was posted prominently.

  Corrective action. Please ensure staff files are current and accurate information is displayed.
