Health & safety record

4 critical and 11 non-critical findings recorded since 2020.

May 1, 2026Routine Inspection4 non-critical
  • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

Observation. Observed that one toilet seat and one sink had areas where the protective porcelain coating had worn off. This presents a risk to children in care, as damaged or worn surfaces may be more difficult to clean and properly sanitize, increasing the potential for the spread of germs and infection. Additionally, rough or deteriorated surfaces may pose a minor risk of cuts or skin irritation to children during use. Submit, by May 22, 2026, how you have addressed this requirement. Observed that the landing at the base of a slide in the outdoor play area was worn and did not have resilient ground surfacing underneath. This was corrected during the inspection.

  • C5.1 - Are healthy eating and nutritional habits promoted and practiced?Non-critical

Observation. The facility did not have a system in place to ensure that parents are informed of food provided to children while in care, including special birthday treats. This presents a risk to children in care, as a lack of communication may result in children being given food that conflicts with dietary restrictions, allergies, or family preferences, potentially leading to allergic reactions or other adverse health effects. Submit, by May 15, 2026, how you have addressed this requirement.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

Observation. The facility did not have a system in place to document unexpected events. Without accurate records, patterns of incidents may go unnoticed, appropriate follow-up actions may not be taken, and accountability may be reduced, potentially impacting the health, safety, and well-being of children. Submit, by May 15, 2026, how you have addressed this requirement.

  • C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical

Observation. The facility’s emergency supplies did not include a system to ensure that water is taken during an evacuation. Lack of hydration can lead to dehydration, heat-related illness, and increased distress among children, potentially impacting their overall health and safety. Submit, by May 15, 2026, how you have addressed this requirement.
