    Observation. One of the facilities highchairs did not have the safety straps attached. Equipment used must follow the manufacturers' instructions to ensure safety. Submit to licensing by June 19, 2025, evidence the highchair meets the manufacturers' safety standards or has been made inaccessible to children.

  • C2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters regarding the care and supervision of children?Non-critical

    Observation. Fire drills have been recorded in a calendar for the entire year of 2025, however there was no evidence available fire drills were conducted. It is required the facility practices emergency procedures in order to reduce the risk to children in an emergency situation. Submit to licensing by June 19, 2025 a written plan that outlines what information will be included as evidence of implementing monthly fire drills.

  • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

    Observation. The wooden edging border that encloses the outdoor play space structure is in poor repair and unstable. The sand in the outdoor sandbox requires replenishing. Ensuring the facility is in good repair and free from hazards is important to prevent injuries and ensure safe and healthy environment for children in care. Submit to licensing by June 26, 2025, evidence the sand has been replenished and the wooden edging border has been repaired.

  • C3.1 - Does the facility have sufficient employees who possess adequate training and experience to meet the care, supervision, and needs of the children?Non-critical

    Observation. The licensee's first aid and CPR certificate is expired. The licensee of a Family Child Care facility is required to have a valid first aid and CPR at all times. Submit to licensing by June 13, 2025, a written plan that outlines how children will be provided with immediate access to a person who holds a valid first and CPR certificate.

    Observation. The cushioned mats used to ensure the fireplace mantel is safe for children is coming apart and requires repair.

    Observation. The wooden play structure located in the outdoor play space has a loose board that may cause a tripping hazard. The locking mechanism located under kitchen sink failed resulting in hazardous substances labelled "Keep out of reach of children" being accessible to children.
