• EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS

  A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

  Observation. While on site, the following was noted within the outdoor play space GCC (3-5), SA: -Black underlay is exposed in an area within the outdoor play space, can act as a tripping hazard. -A board has been installed over an area where a tree was removed within the decking portion of the outdoor play space, however, the board can act as a tripping hazard.

  Corrective action. Please provide a written response indicating how you will address the contravention noted above on or before September 21, 2026

• RECORDS AND REPORTING

  A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.

  Observation. Facility mixes groups in the mornings and sometimes mixes the infant toddler rooms. Children are not signed out of their rooms when they are moved. In the mornings,during the first half hour, the children are signed in on the attendance sheet for the room they are registered within, not the room they are physically within. Discussion had with Manager about attendance being for the room, not for the program.

  Corrective action. Please provide a written response to indicate how you will address the contravention noted above on or before September 21, 2026

• STAFFING

  A licensee must ensure that each employee (c) practices implementing the emergency plan at least once each year.

  Observation. The facility has not practiced implementing the emergency plan within the past year.

  Corrective action. The Manager stated that staff would practice the emergency drill by the end of the month.
