  • C10.2 - Are children supervised, and are employee to children ratios maintained?Critical

Observation. Video baby monitors are used when the children are sleeping in the nap rooms for each care program. Once the children are asleep only the monitor is used to supervise the children. In the Group Child Care (Under 36 month) care program one child was observed awake sitting on their bed when the Licensing Officer opened the door to observe the room. The employees were not aware the child was awake. The use of a video monitor alone is not sufficient for active supervision as required. Children must be supervised at all times to ensure the health and safety of the child is maintained at all times. A response is required by July 15, 2026 to confirm how the risk has been mitigated.

  • C4.1 - Are facility records current and complete?Non-critical

Observation. A record of compliance with care plan requirements is missing from all care plans on file. It is the responsibility of the Licensee to ensure a record is kept outlining information on how the care plan is being implemented for the health and safety of the child in care. A response is required by July 15, 2026 to outline how records will be kept as required.

  • C6.1 - Are acceptable hygiene practices maintained?Non-critical

Observation. The change table in the Group Child Care (Under 36 month) program is located next to a food preparation area. Having a change table next to a food preparation area increases the risk of the spread of illness between children and decreases hygiene and communicable disease control in the facility. A response is required by July 15, 2026 to outline how the risk has been mitigated.

  • C7.1 - Is the facility safe, sanitary, free from hazards, in good repair, and appropriate for the age and development of children?Non-critical

Observation. Two climbing structures in the outdoor play area are placed directly on the grass without protective surfacing under or around the structures. The height and intended use of each climbing structure poses a risk of injury for children without protective surfacing in place. A response is required by June 19, 2025 to outline how the risk will be mitigated.
