Observation. Employee files are incomplete. Two files are missing character references and evidence the person has complied with the Province's immunization control program. It is the responsibility of the Licensee to obtain the required records for an employee prior to offering employment to ensure they are suitable to work with children. A response is required by July 22, 2026 to confirm employee files are complete.

Observation. One child's file lists one of the child's parents as having no access to the child. A record confirming the parent is not permitted access to the child is not on file. A court order is required to be on file for any parent who is not permitted access to the child to ensure the health and safety of the child while in the care of the Licensee. A response is required by July 22, 2026 to confirm the risk has been mitigated. One care plan for a child with behaviour challenges does not provide adequate information on the strategies the facility will implement to support the child while in care. Specific strategies are required to be outlined in a care plan to provide guidance to employees in caring for the child and for the health and safety of the child while in care. A response is required by July 22, 2026 to confirm care plan has been updated as required. A record of compliance with care plan requirements is missing from all care plans on file. It is the responsibility of the Licensee to ensure a record is kept outlining information on how the care plan is being implemented for the health and safety of the child in care. A response is required by July 22, 2026 to outline how records will be kept as required.

Observation. A lighter is visible and within reach of children in a staff bag on the counter in the kitchen area. A lighter is considered an object that may be hazardous to the health and safety of a child in care and is required to be kept inaccessible to children at all times. A response is required by July 20, 2026 to confirm the risk has been mitigated.
