  Observation. Licensing observed that staff files did not have record of the work history.

  Corrective action. Ensure that staff files contain record of work history.

  3010 - CCLR 19(1)(c)
• A licensee must ensure that each employee practices implementing the fire drill system at least once each month,

  Observation. Licensing observed that fire drills had not been conducted or recorded since summer 2025.

  Corrective action. Ensure that fire drills are being conducted and recorded at least one a month.

• A licensee must ensure that each employee practices implementing the emergency plan at least once each year.

  Observation. Licensing observed that no emergency drill has been completed within the last year.

  Corrective action. Ensure that emergency drills are being completed and documented at least once a year.

  Observation. Licensing observed that no play space inspections were being conducted or documented.

  Corrective action. Ensure that inspections of the play space are being conducted and documented.

• A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: a criminal record check for the person

  Observation. Licensing observed that no criminal record check has been obtained for early childhood educator who is on site.

  Corrective action. Ensure that every who has been hired has a valid criminal record check.

• A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: (b) character references in respect of the person

  Observation. Licensing observed that staff files did not contain character references.

  Corrective action. Ensure that all staff files contain character references.

• A licensee must have in writing from a parent, and maintain at the community care facility, consent (a) to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of accident or illness if the parent cannot immediately be reached,

  Observation. Licensing observed that no staff files were kept at the licensed facility and were stored at another location entirely.

  Corrective action. Ensure that all files are accessible and are easy to retrieve in a timely manner.

  Observation. Licensing observed that no staff files were kept at the licensed facility and were stored at another location entirely.

  Corrective action. Ensure that all files are accessible and are easy to retrieve in a timely manner.

  3070 - CCLR 59(a)
• A licensee must have in writing from a parent, and maintain at the community care facility, consent (a) to call a medical practitioner or ambulance in case of accident or illness if the parent cannot immediately be reached,

  Observation. Licensing observed that 2 files were missing written consent to call medical practitioner or ambulance.

  Corrective action. Ensure that every family has provided written consent to call medical practitioner or ambulance.

• A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (a)name, sex, date of birth, medical insurance plan number (MSP number does not apply to REC only) and immunization status.

  Observation. Licensing observed two children's records were missing MSP numbers.

  Corrective action. Ensure that all children's records contain MSP numbers.

• A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information:(i) a photograph or digital image of the child, and other information that can be used to readily identify the child in an emergency

  Observation. Licensing observed that two children were missing photos.

  Corrective action. Ensure that all children enrolled have a photo on file.
