  Observation. There are some entrapment spaces in the gondola. Staff report that they have not been an issue to date and ideas to fill the gaps were discussed.

  All indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are suitable for the age and development of the children, safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair. [CCLR Sec. 16(4)]

  Observation. In the outdoor space, Licensing observed the wooden boards in the wooden play house showing signs of wear and rot.

  For each child requiring extra support, the licensee keeps a current care plan showing the required information. [CCLR Sec. 58(1)(2)]

  Observation. Licensing was unable to locate care plans for two children in regards to their epi-pens. Administration of medication forms were kept with the children’s medications instead.

  Medications that staff have agreed to administer are readily accessible to staff and are administered in the correct dosage at the correct times. [CCLR Sec. 53(1)]

  Observation. Two epi-pens in the medication bag had expired that were for two children in care. There were two medications that did not have medication administration authorization forms on-site. Anaphylaxis resources provided. Medication form provided.
