  The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

  There is current log of minor incidents, illnesses and unexpected events, that did not require medical attention and were not reportable incidents described in Schedule H. [CCLR Sec. 56 (1)(f)]

  Observation. The staff today was not aware of where the Log Book was. She stated that staff email or text about issues covered in the Log Book. It is a requirement to record in the Log Book with date and signature.

  The licensee keeps a current record for each child showing the information required. [CCLR Sec. 57]

  Observation. The centre is using a note book to record daily attendance. This has been discussed before, this recording does not include all requirements of the sign in/out sheet. Please print the sheet from the sample left today and have staff use.

  Implementation of the fire drill system is practiced at least once each month, and implementation of the emergency plan is practiced at least once each year. [CCLR Sec. 22(2)(b)(c)]

  Observation. Fire drill sheet full with no entries after April/22 Emergency drills must occur once month. Take the drill sheet out of the folder and post in the kitchen outside a cupboard or at the certificate board as it should be displayed.
