Observation. Today's inspection revealed two children over 36 months of age. This is non-compliance with the Regulation for <36 months care. After discussion with the Licensee it is agreed that exemptions will be approved for the two children who require immediate temporary retention exemptions.

Observation. It was revealed at today's inspection that children's emergency information forms are not kept in the first aid kit or in the child care centre level. The Licensee had the records on the main floor of the house

Observation. Today's inspection revealed 1 staff with 5 children. The staff reported to the LO that the Licensee/Manager was at an appointment. The Licensee/Manager arrived approximately 15 minutes later after being contacted by the staff. The LO explained to the Licensee/Manager that the staffing was not in compliance with the CCLR for Group Child Care (Under 36 months).

The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction. They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]
Observation. The metal gate leading into the child care outdoor play area is loose at the base and rocks from side to side. The gate latch does not prevent children from reaching and opening. At today's inspection the LO observed a child opening the gate latch and gate when he saw the Licensees resident spouse.
