    Observation. Licensing used the entanglement device to test the slide in the Group Child Care (30 Months to School Age) outdoor area. An entanglement was detected. This represents an immediate risk to the health and safety of children in care and must be corrected immediately. Staff stated that the slide would not be used until the entanglement was fixed and the slide was retested by Licensing.

    Corrective action. Ensure that equipment is free of entanglement hazards in areas of uncontrolled motion.

    Observation. Licensing observed an Infant and Toddler Educator (ITE), an Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) and a Responsible Adult (RA) with 10 children in the Group Child Care (Under 36 Months) program. Staff stated that the RA had completed coursework and had applied to the ECE Registry for certification as an ECEA.
