Observation. Licensing audited seven children's files and one file was missing a record of name and telephone number of a medical practitioner. This information was added during the inspection. The licensee stated that the parents had provided the information, but it had not been recorded in the child's file.
Corrective action. Ensure all children's files contain a record of name and telephone number of a medical practitioner.
3070 - CCLR 57(2)(d) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee or, in the case of a person who is not the manager, the manager has first met with the person and obtained all of the following: evidence that the person has complied with the Province’s immunization and tuberculosis control programs
Observation. Licensing audited two staff files and a substitute staff's file did not contain a record of immunization status.
Corrective action. Ensure a record of immunization status is obtained in all staff's file.
