Observation. Licensing audited five staff files. Two files did not obtained a record of immunization status. The non-compliance items had been corrected during the Routine Inspection.
Corrective action. Ensure a record of immunization is kept for all employees.
3010 - CCLR 19(1)(f) - A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (c) a record respecting compliance with section 22 (2) (b) and (c) [emergency training and equipment]
Observation. Licensing observed there was no record of the monthly fire drill in April 2026, and the yearly emergency plan practices. Manager stated they did the fire drill practice, but did not recorded, and could not find the record of the emergency drill.
Corrective action. Ensure a record is kept for the monthly fire drill and the yearly emergency drill.
3020 - CCLR 56(1)(c) - A licensee must ensure that safe drinking water is available to children.
Observation. Licensing observed no record of two-minute flush at the beginning of the day as stated in the corrective action plan. Manager stated they were not aware they had lead in water at the bathroom and snack room.
Corrective action. Ensure safe drinking water is available to children.
3050 - CCLR 48(5) - A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (b) date of enrolment in the community care facility
Observation. Licensing audited six children files. One file did not obtain a record of date of enrollment.
Corrective action. Ensure a record of date of enrollment is kept in all children's file.

Observation. Licensing performed an audit of three staff files this date. One file contained a criminal record check (CRC) from a different organization.

Observation. Manager stated that a water filter had been installed for drinking water to mitigate lead in water (LIW). Licensing has not received up to date LIW results.
3050 - CCLR 48(5) - A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: the courses of action recommended by health care professionals to address the needs of the child requiring extra support
Observation. Licensing observed two care plans for emergency medication this date. One care plan did not have signs and symptoms of when to administer.
Corrective action. Ensure care plans for emergency medication follow the course of action recommended by health care professionals.
3070 - CCLR 58(1)(b) - Without limiting subsection (1) a licensee must ensure that children attending a community care facility are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E, (except FCC/IHMACC/REC; child qualified if in age range or within one month (except GCC School Age)).
Observation. Manager stated that there were up to 27 children who attend the Preschool (30 Months to School Age) program, which exceeds the capacity for this category of care, with 24 expected to attend this date.
Corrective action. Ensure children are divided into groups, with each group having no more children than that permitted in Schedule E.
3030 - CCLR 34(2)(a) - A licensee must do all of the following:(b) operate the community care facility in a manner that will promote the health, safety and dignity of persons in care
Observation. Manager stated that a water filter had been installed for drinking water and that staff had not been following the accepted corrected action plan approved by Licensing to mitigate lead in water.
Corrective action. Ensure the facility is operated in a manner that will promote the health and safety of children in care, including following corrective action plans.
3050 - CCALA 7(1)(b)(i) - A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as School Age Care on School Grounds, must ensure that any heated water accessible to children is heated to no more than 49° Celsius.
Observation. Licensing measured the water temperature in two washrooms to be 54 degrees Celsius. This item represents an immediate risk to health and safety and must be corrected immediately. Manager shut the hot water off this date. Licensing remeasured the temperature, which was 19 degrees Celsius.
Corrective action. Ensure hot water accessible to children does not exceed 47 degrees Celsius.
