    Observation. Licensing observed a portion of the playground fence dividing between the 3-5 and toddler playground to have a space beneath that falls between 3.5 inches and 9 inches, posing an entrapment hazard. A portion of the black fencing in the back of the playground is also observed to have a gap in between 3.5 and 9 inches.

    Observation. *A spray bottle containing cleaning solution observed in the kitchen was unlabelled, making it difficult to identify the bottle contents. This can be hazardous as some cleaners when mixed together can create toxic gas for example, ammonia and bleach creates mustard gas.

    The entire outdoor play area is enclosed and constructed in a manner that is suitable for the age and development of children, and ensures that children are free of harm. [CCLR Sec. 16(3)(a)(b)]

    Observation. *The cement footings on the sandbox pagoda have become uncovered due to settling and migration of the sand exposing sharp exposed concrete edges. The concern is that a child may trip on the uneven surface of the sandbox and land on one of these sharp edges. *A piece of rope about 3 feet long was observed to be attached to the inside of the fence at children's level, posing risk of entanglement. This was corrected during the inspection by the manager. *The bamboo on the children's climber is beginning to crack. While not currently in non-compliance, this item should be observed for future hazards.
