    The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction.  They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]

    Observation. The space is shared with preschool and community groups. It appears to be well maintained with regular cleaning. The only area that LO noted as requiring a deep clean is the step stools in the bathrooms, there is also minor scuffs and marks on some walls.

    Observation. Most children's emergency cards were complete, with only a few missing - care care / medical insurance info, doctor / medical clinic information. There were also a few that had the parent as the emergency contact, while the regulations ask for parent AND emergency contact.

    Observation. Licensing observed heated water exceeded 49 Degrees Celsius.

    For each child requiring extra support, the licensee keeps a current care plan showing the required information. [CCLR Sec. 58(1)(2)]

    Observation. Licensing observed 5 children in care with various allergies and medical concerns. There are no care plans in place for any of the children.

    There is current log of minor incidents, illnesses and unexpected events, that did not require medical attention and were not reportable incidents described in Schedule H. [CCLR Sec. 56 (1)(f)]

    Observation. Licensing observed there is no log of minor incidents, illnesses and unexpected events.

    The licensee keeps a current record for each child showing the information required. [CCLR Sec. 57]

    Observation. Licensing observed the following: - 1 child was missing a medical insurance plan number - 3 children were missing emergency contact information - 6 children were missing medical practitioner contact information - no children had arrival and departure times recorded on the day of the inspection - 1 child had 1 medication listed on their emergency card but had 2 additional medications listed in their registration records. Staff provided Licensing with medication the child is currently taking however the medication is not listed in the child's records. Staff stated they are giving the child medication however the Request for Administration of Medication form does not reflect medication was administrated.

    The licensee is able to produce records on demand to Licensing. [CCLR Sec. 59(c)]

    Observation. Manager was unable to provide Licensing with staff records as they are in a locked area inaccessible to the manager. Licensing attempted to view the staff records on two different days however they were inaccessible.
