Observation. Comments from previous inspection visit: LO observed 5 children in care under the age of 48 months. Family Child Care (CCLR Sec. 34/Schedule E) allows for a maximum of 4 children under 48 months. During today's visit LO observed 5 children in care under the age of 48 months. This issue continues to be in non-compliance. Licensee stated that 2 children will be leaving the program.

Observation. Comments from routine inspection September 24, 2021: Staff have had ongoing first aid training, but the current certificate posted expired a few months prior. During today's visit Licensee stated that First Aid training has been updated however she was unable to locate her new certificate. Licensee will provide LO with a photo once it has been found.

Observation. At the exit from the playroom to the outdoor space, there were some items that could be hazardous. Licensee is aware of these items and stated that they will be removed prior to children going outside.

The facility, the furniture, equipment, fixtures and supplies are of sturdy and safe construction. They are easy to clean, and are clean and in good repair and free from hazards. [CCLR Sec. 13(2) and Sec. 15(1)(a)]
Observation. Licensing Officer observed the following: -Kitchen cupboard containing hazardous had a safety lock, -All items have been removed from the bathroom cupboard, -A disposal can with a lid was in the bathroom, -Single use towels were available for children`s use in the bathroom Not observed: - A safety gate at the tops of stairs leading to a play area was required

All persons over the age of 12 that are ordinarily present on the premises while children are present are of good character and the licensee has obtained a criminal record check for each person. [CCLR Sec 20]
