Observation. The licensee did not appear to understand a child's allergy symptoms nor the directions provided by the parent, placing the child’s health and safety at risk.

14360 - CCALA s.7(1)(b)(i) - A licensee must ensure that, on the premise of the community care facility or in any vehicle used by employees to transport children, (a) no one engages in restricted consumption (tobacco/cannabis) while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. A staff member smoked cigarettes on the outdoor premise during daycare operating hours.
Corrective action. Corrective action plan required.

Observation. The licensee provided care to 4 children under 36 months old on 4 dates in November 2025 where only 3 children under 36 months old were permitted.
Corrective action. The licensee will provide a corrective action plan to address the contravention.

Observation. The licensee was unable to produce attendance records at the time of an inspection in November 2025.
Corrective action. Licensee will keep children’s attendance records at the facility. No further action is required.

Observation (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION): Upon review of the attendance records, departure times for 8 May 2025 & arrival times for today, 9 May 2025 were not recorded. The manager corrected the records during the inspection.

- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. During inspection licensing observed: -In the bathroom 3 diaper cream containers were accessible to children on the change table.Manager corrected this during inspection and stored them out of children's reach. -Children's lunch bags were kept in children's cubbies without ice packs. The temperature in four children's lunch bags containing food and dairy products was measured at 20.1 degrees Celsius.
Corrective action. Manager said that food will be stored in the refrigerator or ice packs will be used, and diaper creams will be kept out of children's reach.

The licensee must (a) develop the care plan in consultation with a parent of the child requiring extra support and any person requested by the parent.
Observation. During inspection licensing reviewed 5 children files and observed that care plan was not developed in consultation with the parent or any person requested by the parent for two children requiring extra support.
Corrective action. Manager said that they will contact the parents and will develop a care plan for the two children.
