  Observation. Licensing reviewed children's records and found that 2 files did not have an image of the child

  Observation. Dirt and grime were observed on the walls and floors.

  Corrective action. The Licensee said she would clean the facility.

  Observation. Licensing confirmed a child was left at a park unsupervised.

  Observation. Upon inspection there was: -3 blind cords hanging down that posed a strangulation hazard -power bar and electrical outlets exposed -Large picture frames balanced on a shelf that posed a fall hazard in the event of an earthquake

Upon inspection, there were multiple areas on the walls inside the facility that had spackling repair compound on it, accessible to the children, and areas along walls that were in need of a cleaning.There were also loose boards on the fence outside that were needing repair.This is a repeat contravention.

  Corrective action. Please ensure the facility is clean and is in good repair while children are in attendance.

• HYGIENE AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASE

  A licensee must establish a program to instruct children in, and to practise the rules of, health and hygiene.

  Observation. Upon inspection, there were no hand towels located in the washroom for the children to use.Licensee said that she always gives the children paper towels individually when they finish washing their hands.However, Licensing observed a child come out of the washroom unsupervised, who had not washed his hands at all.This is a repeat contravention.

  Corrective action. Please ensure a system is established to ensure children are washing their hands and that hand towels are readily available.

  A licensee must ensure that children are supervised at all times by a person who is an educator, an assistant or a responsible adult.

  Observation. Upon inspection, Licensing observed the Licensee leave 6 children in the front yard unsupervised while she entered the home.Licensing also observed the Licensee leaving children unattended while she assisted a child to eat inside the facility.

  Corrective action. Please ensure children are supervised at all times while they are in care.
