  • A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (f) a log of minor accidents, illnesses and unexpected events involving children, that did not require medical attention and were not reportable incidents described in Schedule H.

    Observation. Records of four incidents that took place between February 18 and June 3, 2025, were not available.

    Corrective action. The licensee stated staff training will take place on Jun 16, 2025, to ensure all staff know what types of incidents must be recorded in the minor log book.

    A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.

    Observation. Children's beds and bedding were touching each other. To reduce the risk of infection beds and bedding must be kept separate.

    A licensee must ensure that all indoor and outdoor play materials and equipment accessible to children are (b) safely constructed, free from hazards and in good repair.

    Observation. Bark mulch in the outdoor play area does not meet the depth requirements as outlined in the Director of Licensing Standards of Practice Safe Play Spaces.

    Corrective action. The manager stated more bark mulch will be added to the playground within the next four weeks.
