- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that a healthy and safe environment is provided at all times while children are under the supervision of employees.
Observation. The Licensee is using vinegar and water for all cleaning/disinfecting purposes.
Corrective action. The Licensee confirmed that the facility will use a bleach/water solution moving forward for all disinfecting purposes.
11010 - CCLR s.13(1) - HYGIENE AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASE
A licensee, other than a licensee who provides a care program described as either Preschool (30 Months to School Age) or Group Child Care (School Age), must have in a community care facility a sturdy surface for changing diapers, located outside the food preparation area, next to (b) a wash basin.
Observation. Diaper changing is currently being done in the main play space and hands are being washed in the kitchen sink following diapering.
Corrective action. The Licensee confirmed that moving forward all diapers will be changed in the washroom.
15015 - CCLR s.14(4)(b) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep current records for each child showing (a) the information set out in subsection (2), (b) if applicable, the information and agreements set out in subsections (2.1) and (2.2), and (c) the consents referred to in subsection (3).
Observation. Licensing reviewed six children's files. One child on site did not have a file available for review. Children's attendance has not been completed since March 26, 2025. Of the six files reviewed the following was noted: -All six were missing photos -All six were missing MSP numbers -All six were missing immunization status -All six were missing consent to call an ambulance
Corrective action. The Licensee stated that all files would be on site and complete by the end of the week.
19060 - CCLR s.57(1)(a)(b)(c) - STAFFING
A licensee must ensure that each employee (b) practices implementing the fire drill system at least once each month.
Observation. There have been no emergency drills conducted since the facility opened.
Corrective action. The Licensee stated that emergency drills would be conducted this month and continue on a ongoing basis.
