- A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (d) written policies and procedures that are intended to guide employees in the care and supervision of children.
Observation. There is no written policy for the facility regarding appropriate staff use of the children's washroom.
Corrective action. The manager will ensure a written policy regarding staff use of the children's washroom is developed.
13060 - CCLR s.56(1)(d) - A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility unless the licensee is satisfied, based on the information available to the licensee under subsection (1) and the licensee's or, in the case of an employee who is not the manager, the manager's own observations on meeting the person, that the person (c) has the training and experience and demonstrates the skills necessary to carry out the duties assigned to the manager or employee.
Observation. A staff member was not trained on the implementation of a child's care plan.
Corrective action. The manager will ensure all staff are trained on how to implement care plan strategies.

- A licensee must ensure that each employee (a) is trained in the implementation of the fire drill system and emergency plan described in subsection (1), including the use of any equipment noted in the fire drill system and emergency plan.
Observation. Staff have not received training in the implementation of the licensee’s fire drill systems and emergency plan.
Corrective action. The licensee will provide a corrective action plan to address the contravention, and licensing will conduct a follow-up inspection.

Observation. A storage shelving unit in the children’s bathroom is not properly secured to a wall.
