Observation. An infant and toddler licensed educator was not present on several days in November to open the program, or to close the program.
Corrective action. Licensee must ensure there is always an infant and toddler licensed educator in the program.

- POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
A licensee must: (b) have an emergency plan that sets out procedures to prepare for, mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergency.
Observation. Upon inspection, licensing observed fire extinguisher was not serviced annually. Arrow was pointing at the green zone.
Corrective action. Staff said she will notify Manager to have it serviced

- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee must ensure that children do not have access to any object or substance that may be hazardous to the health or safety of a child.
Observation. Licensing observed the following: -Diaper cream was within reach of the children. -A blind cord was hanging at a lower level. This could create a potential hazard -Sunblock was located within reach of the children. This was corrected during the inspection -A toilet brush was located in the washroom. -Doors leading to the mechanical room must be locked to prevent access.
11200 - CCLR s.17 - LICENSING
A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility both the licence, including any terms or conditions of the licence, and the name of the manager.
Observation. Licensing did not observe the name of the Manager displayed in the facility
10050 - CCLR s.11(1) - MEDICATION
If a licensee has agreed with a parent to give a child any medication prescribed by a medical practitioner or provided by the parent, the licensee and his or her employees must ensure that the medication is (a) administered to the child in the amount and at the times specified by the child's parent or in the child's record or care plan.
Observation. Licensing observed emergency medication for a child. No written permission or instructions were provided for the use of the medication
Corrective action. In discussion the Manager stated the medication was provided just in case something happened. Having information on the administration of medication and permission to administer it will assist the staff on how the medication should be applied and when.
16010 - CCLR s.53(1)(a) - POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
A licensee must keep current records of each of the following: (a) written policies and procedures for the safe release of children.
Observation. Licensing observed the following policies were not present in the facility: Behavioural guidance. nutrition policy, repayment policy , active play and screen use.
Corrective action. In discussion with the Manager she stated she will print these policies and have them on site.
13040 - CCLR s.56(1)(a) - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child requiring extra support, a current care plan showing the following information: (a) the diagnoses relevant to the child's requirement for extra support, as made by health care professionals.
Observation. No care plan available for a child requiring extra support.
Corrective action. Please ensure a care plan is created for a child requiring emergency medication
19210 - CCLR s.58(1)(a) - STAFFING
A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation)
Observation. The staff records were reviewed. There were no validations observed for staff certificates
Corrective action. In discussion the staff stated she will complete this today.
