- EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS
A licensee providing a care program to any child younger than 36 months of age must provide a separate sleeping area located away from any activity area.
Observation. The facility's designated nap space has been converted into a supply storage room.

A licensee must display in a prominent place in the community care facility the certificate, or a copy of the certificate, of any educator or assistant employed to work in the community care facility.
Observation. One of two staff who work in the program every day did not have their certificate posted.
10070 - CCLR s.11(4) - OR SUPERVISION
Without limiting subsection (1), a licensee must ensure that (b) the ratio of employees to children attending a community care facility is no less than that permitted in Schedule E.
Observation. Inadequate staffing as of 2:30 PM daily when an ECEA is supervising the children in care.

A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation. 1. Licensing reviewed attendance records, spoke to four parents and confirmed that accurate attendance records are not maintained. a)Three children who did not attend in August were recorded as present. b)Four children who do not attend on Fridays had arrival and departure times recorded. 2. None of the school age children who are cared for as of 2:30 PM daily had arrival or departure times recorded for December 3, 2025.

A licensee must not employ a person in a community care facility as (a) an educator or an assistant unless the person holds a certificate issued under Division 2 [Employee Qualifications], which must be verified by the system maintained by the early childhood educator registry. (Educator or assistant certificate validation)
Observation. One of two staff files reviewed did not contain a certificate validation.

Observation. A pair of scissors on a table accessible to children.
Corrective action. Manager removed the from the table and stored it in a manner inaccessible to children.
11200 - CCLR s.17 - RECORDS AND REPORTING
A licensee must keep, for each child, a record showing the following information: (c) daily attendance record, indicating for each day whether the child is absent or, if the child is present, the time of arrival and departure.
Observation. Arrival and departure time was not being recorded on daily attendance sheets.
Corrective action. Manager said that they will start keeping records of arrival and departure time for children in care.
